    @kameleonls1 There are 10 third world counties ahead of us in avg. life expectancy. Coke out sells pepsi, but loses taste tests 9/10 times……….oh the power of sales. I walked into a hospital last weak, walked out, no surgery, just took some pictures of a fractured femur. Sent me out with crutches and ace bandage. Total bill……..$15,286.00 I will pay 5$/month for @ a year, until you, me and every other tax payer pays the bill, sweet system. You are a idiot.

    You’re confusing the quality of care available with the system that provides it.

    god our health care system is so terrible. i wonder why presidents, prime ministers, european celebrities, etc etc etc come to the UNITED STATES FOR HEALTH CARE!!!! we have the best health care in the world. thats why the world comes to the US. Obama wants to controll our lives and you people are just so blind. thank god for Scott Brown tea-bagging progressives!

    Nobody is denied care if they come into a hospital in a critical state. These claims of people being pushed out the door bleeding are pure BS.

    Ok, here is an example just to illustrate to some of you just how BAD the healthcare in the US is:

    Imagine if the fire protection section weren’t run by the state, but by private corporations, and you had to have fire insurance. Then when a fire breaks loose in your house or apartment, you call the fire brigade. And instead of come rushing to your aid, they ask you: Do you have any form of fire insurance? and if your answer is no, they deny you help, simply because you couldn’t afford insurance

    I work for the largest drug company in the world. I will tell you, yes we have to make a profit. How many people know that most alll drug companys have a patient asst program for people who cannot afford their meds. They would get their meds free sent to their doctor. Profit also goes back in to R&D. That why people are living longer, we are coming out with drugs they are keeping them alive and for most part they can still enjoy life. That is why I love what I do, maybe I am helping someone out.

    We have a government sponsored universal health care plan (just like the rest of the Western world)

    Yes, this is a form of socialism, but so is everything that is paid for by your tax dollars and open to all citizens of that country ex. the army, food stamps, national parks ect.

    Your country is on the right path but you need to watch out for the Becks and Dobbs of the world who provide vague answers to health care and want the government out of absolutley everything.

    hey cbsctomh i comletly agree with you ,BUT wood you buy a capy sandwitch incase you get hungry for 400$. most people who say yes are ether ritch crazy or both. now add on the fact that if you try to take more than one bite at a time (or a lot of smaller nibls) thay can take that months sandwitch away from you and never give you a new one… forever just cuzz your hungry. in sumery i agree with you but the wa thay are doing it is insane and a ripoff

    Yeah, and we produce almost all the latest drugs and treatements. Thats because it’s for profit and that drives research and development. It’s also helps motivate the brightest to go into medicine. If they are paid like public officials they will go into more lucrative fields. Look inside an English or Canadian Hospital and notice how dated the equipment is.

    The president may want to phase out private ins, but how do you do that? Maybe I don’t understand, but that sounds like Target saying we would like to phase out Wal-mart over ten years. The government would give the private ins a run for their money.Remember, and like I said below I have Cancer. If all private ins companies can not turn anyone away, that means their pay outs are going to go though the roof. I don’t see how they can do without raising rates to noone can afford it. thoughts anyone

    My healthcare system was build at a time when we owed so much money away it was predicted it would take us 500 years to pay it back. So actually, you’re wrong. National debt doesn’t mean anything.

    well your statement of fact doesn’t matter because this bill ids the foot in the door. obviously overthrowing the system all at once would create such a push back no one would be in favor of it.

    politics is about strategy. the goal is universal healthcare but accomplished in increments.

    pres. obama said himself a year and a half ago that this is how it would be done. his goal, within ten years is to phase out private insurance for universal h-care.

    I live in Memphis, Tn. A large number of parents send their kids to private schools. It is two income families who work hard and that is there choice if they can afford it. There are some large private school here.Our public school system has failed us. They use to be one of the best school systems around 30 or 35 years ago. One thing, we have so many families that don’t stay together now. That is just one of the reasons

    Listen to ourselves everyone. I have Cancer, in remmison thank God. I was able to keep my health ins because I had worked for the same company for almost 30 years. We need to all stick together, If I had not been able to keep my ins, do you think anyone would let me buy ins even though I have been in remmison 5 years. There is no cure for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, it is very treatable but people die from it. Please let us stop call each other names and work together. Please everyone think about it
