In the U.S. the whole of our popular culture promotes sex but we don’t talk about it in realistic ways with our young people, HIV is spreading rapidly among married women in low-income countries because their older or promiscuous husbands bring it to the marriage, and rape is increasingly used as a weapon of war. So why the U.S. reliance on abstinence for HIV prevention and is there hope in terms of legislation in the new Congress?

how concerned should we be about the fact that flu vaccinations will cause a false positive on the hiv test? also pregnancy. the hiv test only looks for proteins and not for actual virus. hiv testing seems to be about controlling sexual behaviour. please pray for all those who have been misdiagnosed.
