I want to know about schooling for natural health/alternative medicine?

Ive always been interested in the properties of herbs, and helping people overcome there physical ailments without resorting to medication. But id like to go a step further and go to school for it. But i live in nebraska and there really isnt such things here. Plus i want to practice in an area that would think of it as a joke. Ive done some searching online for Holistic schools and such. Any reccomendations

Just learn science, read peer reviewed health studies, and then declare that both fields are wrong about everything, and say the opposite is right.

Also, when people say that you don’t make any sense after you do that, just start whining about a conspiracy. You gain more credibility every time you use the phrase "Big Pharma".

It sounds like it wouldn’t work, but it has for a lot of people. Good luck!

    i’m also fasinated by natural healing, and would like to make a living by helping others with it. i got a school packet for free from the global coolege of natural medicine. GCNM.com also the hospital and any mainstream doctors dont have a clue about anything natural because ,"it not FDA approved", as if that makes it safe or somethign HAHAHA! the FDA is a bunch of greedy goons, not to mention, retarded!

    first off check the laws in your state, and see what the requirements are. No use taking a course that is not recognized in your state.

    I took a course of which part of it was not recognized in this or any other country, though I enjoyed learning it. It did start to make me awaire of the laws governing how one can practice.

    Im thinking of doing the same thing, but do intend on going to "regular" college to for a degree in biology.
    When I looked into it myself , I saw alot of places for alternative medicines, like acupuncture, reflexology, chinese herbal medine, ect…
    I say Network yourself as much as you can with like minded people…maybe if there is a seminar in your area or even a local established herbologist that you can go to
    beware though as im sure there’s a bunch of cooks out there just trying to get your money
