The BioInitiative Report – Biological Standards for Wireless

Cindy Sage, environmental consultant, talks about The BioInitiative Report: A Rationale for a Biologically-based Public Exposure Standard for Electromagnetic Fields (ELF and RF), which she editied with a team of international scientists.
They document serious scientific concerns about current limits regulating how much EMF is allowable from power lines, cell phones, and many other sources of EMF exposure in daily life.
The report concludes the existing standards for public safety are inadequate to protect public health.

    Thank you for speaking the truth.
    It has become rare nowadays.

    @ormondotvos Scare …
    @ormondotvos Scare tactics and stupidity? Sure, keep laughng… Have you any idea how many people like you stop laughing when they hear the word ‘brain tumour’ from their doctor? Maybe you think this oncologist is just a stupid charlatan who weaseled his way to head the industry-led research into wireless and cell phone dangers to simply scaremonger… /watch?v=1I1zQ9CDbgE&feature=related

    @ormondotvos – I see you forgot to add links to no peer-reviewed articles supporting what you are saying. I HAVE, however, payed close attention to the work of Dr George Carlo – which was extensively peer reviewed. I add a link here so you can educate yourself better. /watch?v=1I1zQ9CDbgE&feature=related

    I find it difficult …
    I find it difficult to comment here, because I was trained in laboratory work that depends on peer review, common standardized metrics, mutually agreed methods, and neutral language. This forum does none of these things, I find no links to peer-reviewed articles addressing the actual subjects of discussion.

    If you wish to discuss the overall statistics of use to humans versus total mortality, EVEN using your grabbed-from-the-air statistics, then the cell phone is overwhelmingly a social good.

    @ormondotvos

    Is it “pure” propaganda or just propaganda? Can you better define what “pure” means for all of us common folk?

  6. ormondotvos says:

    Scare tactics and …
    Scare tactics and stupidity. None of this is honest science, or the metrics would be consistent with the metrics used in the actual experiments, which always say that there is no causative connection between cell phone use and cancer occurrence.

    Ever feel these people need to be less fearful and more rational?

    @33rdPatriot

    This …
    @33rdPatriot

    This is pure propaganda. The house fires are NOT CAUSED by Smart Meters. As an electrician with a physics degree, I’m appalled at the lies and distortions put forth by the Scaresters of the EON group.

  8. CindySage says:

    SmartMeter: The …
    SmartMeter: The new tool to diagnose faulty ground rods, one house fire at a time”?

    New evidence links Smart Meters to house fires, damaged televisions and computers, fried electronic equipment, light bulbs blowing out, and other indicators that the electrical wiring has become overloaded and start a fire.

    Tens of thousands of homes around the country may have faulty ground rods. An independent investigation by every State Fire Marshall is needed.
    Until then, no more installations.

    Great info, thanks. …
    Great info, thanks. Two things: 1. At about 22min in, this corresponds roughly to what the UNABOMBER wrote in his manifesto: Technology is at odds with humanity. 2. Royal Raymond Rife was major proponent that the content matters (the frequencies and bursts), not necessarily the power level. This is key.

    Prevention Magazine …
    Prevention Magazine (December, 2009) has a terrific article on EMF and wireless by Michael Segell, Deputy Editor. This important discussion on the risks to health, sources of the problems, and common-sense solutions should be required reading for all people who want answers. The jury is in, and the verdict is “avoid exposures to wireless and EMF”.

    Hi Cindy.
    I have late made a live blood analysis using a cellphone.
    You can see the movie on my you tube account.

  12. CindySage says:

    Lower SAR cell …
    Lower SAR cell phones are useful IN COMBINATION with the tips below, but using a low-SAR phone is not sufficient alone. A single, two-hour exposure to cell phone radiation can result in pathological leakage of the blood-brain barrier. The effect occurs immediately, and is still seen at 14 days and at 50 days post-exposure at only 0.012 W/Kg. The lowest exposure SARs were worse than the higher SAR exposures (Nittby et al, 2009). Neuron death occurs at SARs of only 0.012 W/Kg,

    Plain Talk about Cell Phone Safety:
    What You Can Do

    1) Reduce your use of cell and cordless phones. (2000 hours (cumulative life-time) before you are at statistically-significantly increased risk for glioma.
    2) Don’t hold a cell phone or cordless phone at your head.
    3) Use a wired earpiece or headset (hollow tube is preferable).
    4) Use speaker phone mode.
    5) Use corded telephones for regular calls.
    6) Using a low-SAR phone does NOT mean you can talk safely with phone to head.

    I am talking about density of antennas per square kilometer!

  15. stopjunkscience says:

    Professor Daniel …
    Professor Daniel Massa from Malta University has completed his own independant research and has concluded that Malta has 10 times more repeater antennas than the UK! The Maltese are unaware that they are part of a wicked experiment. Massa has faraday caged his house as he knows what the consequences of this kind of exposure is!

    Hi Cindy,
    I don’t know if you remember me but you sent me a great deal of information several years ago and I wanted to tell you that I am still ill to date but I also wanted to thank you for your help.
    I have been getting help but not to the degree I feel I should be. I still don’t have any one that will look at me without thinking I’m mentally ill.
    I am definatly in the early stages of ALZ’
    and still deal with most of the symptoms of a trumatic brain injury.

  17. bearvan55 says:

    it’s not fear …
    it’s not fear mongering, trust me I have been very ill from my use of a cellphone for over ten years now. I know beyond doubt that it was my cellphone that made me ill and no one wants to hear us and when I say us there are many people from around the world ill from their use of their cellphone. most of them worled for the dellphone industry.

  18. neozentruth says:

    Very good point. …
    Very good point. Given that the latency period for brain tumors can be 20 to 30 years, we won’t be seeing the explosion in brain cancer cases. Although we don’t know for sure, there were heavy cell phone users Johnny Cochran and Ted Kennedy who have died from brain tumors.

    Great information, …
    Great information, really…

  20. CindySage says:

    ICNIRPs Standing …
    ICNIRPs Standing Committee on Epidemiology has published a paper in the Journal Epidemiology on cell phone-brain tumor risks. It pre-empts the Final Interphone Study. Several of the ICNIRP authors are also Interphone Study Group members, raising the issue of whether the timing of this article is intended to pre-empt Interphone Final Report findings. If so, it will certainly muddy the waters about the message. There is no “all clear” here despite what you may read.

  21. stopjunkscience says:

    I need to clarify …
    I need to clarify that Swieqi is next to St Julians . I recently discovered that the official figures for repeaters was 28 but I counted up to 35. When you add to this the neighbouring districts approx a square mile the total would be over 50. If you add to this also, all the domestic and commercial WiFi, cordless phones etc. its no surprise to hear that Prime Minister Gonzi has just announced the building of a new Tumor Wing at Maltas new hospital costing 24 million Euros! A Cancer Cash Cow?

  22. stopjunkscience says:

    Well said!
    Well said!

  23. stopjunkscience says:

    Have any studies …
    Have any studies been carried out to determine the affects of cell towers on eye health, as I haven’t been able to find any? I have lived in Swieqi, Malta now for 4 years and within the square mile there must be over 50 masts. Over the past 4 years my ability to focus properly has deteriorated rapidly and I put it down to the towers I am surrounded by. I reckon the tendons in my eye muscles are being hammered! I would value your opinion on this?

  24. CindySage says:

    Cell and cordless …
    Cell and cordless phones both present health risks. The increase risk for children who start using cell phones before they are 20 is more than a five-fold (more than a 500%) increased risk for malignant glioma by the time these children are in the 20-29 age group. See Hardell and Carlberg, 2009, Int J Oncology 35: 5-17. The annual age-adjusted incidence of astrocytoma for the age group >19 years increased significantly by +2.16%, during 2000-2007 in Sweden.
